Sprint Mobile Broadband - Internet Almost Anywhere You Might Need It
I'm soooo glad I added a Sprint Mobile Broadband card to my mix of gadgetry. This is one piece of technology I use often.
I've been surprised at the places I now have Internet access with my Sprint Mobile Broadband card. Between my Sprint card and cell phone, I can now work about anywhere. (Both a good and bad thing!)
The performance varies depending on where I'm trying to get online. Topeka and any other RevA area rocks. Emporia and other 1.x network areas are really, really slow.
The card does run your battery down quite a bit faster than normal, but I typically try to stay pretty close to power. I still get a couple of hours, but recommend keeping your power supply and a power inverter close by when traveling.
Plus, this gives me many, many more options for a working lunch. In the past, those were reliant on free wifi networks, which are much less reliable than they should be.
Needless to say, I highly recommend the Sprint Mobile Broadband service. A friend actually has a device that will use his connection to create a mini hotspot. This is great for tradeshows and other places where you need multiple computers online in close proximity.
